More of a good thing. And yes, I agree that doing it before will help the transition. In fact, it may help a lot, b/c O will already have someone that is his own, someone he can be with when he can't be with you. I highly recommend it. Maybe it's some weird thing - more than Mommy is around, then more than Mommy is good. Only Mommy is around, then only Mommy will do. I am hoping having a little sitter time will start to ease his utter attachment to me.
