I love fall too! It's so amazing! I mean, I thought fall in NC was pretty nice, but sheesh! Ozzy says "Leaves floating" whenever he sees leaves falling off trees (which is pretty often!). The drive to CT was amazing in terms of fall foliage.
Julie, thank you for saying that. I don't think I can express how tired I am of folks saying, "Oh, you haven't lived through a winter up here yet, have you?" and then they shake their heads. These comments 1) assume things about me that they can't know, and 2) are not at all helpful. Although I've been quite excited about the winter and the cold and the snow (yes, I have), having folks say these things makes me anxious. Again, not helpful. I'm glad to hear you say you're looking forward to it! Thanks for that.

Stay at home mom with two small kiddos and a wonderful husband in upstate NY. This blog is about the struggles of being a parent--about the joys too, but mostly the struggles, what they mean, how they define us or don't, how we wade our way through them day by day. Looks nice. We aren't quite so far along here yet, but it's coming.

I miss the fall in upstate NY, Austin doesn't offer the same breathtaking changes in the leaves. Enjoy!
